Scientific Games has announced the new CFO of the supplier’s SG Digital division in the form of Alexander Ambrose. Ambrose’s previous positions include UK Finance Director at Playtech, Finance Director of Ash gaming, and his new role will see him focusing on growing SG Digital’s online sports betting and gaming sector.
COO of SG Digital, Jason Walbridge, told reporters that Ambrose is the perfect addition to their team as they focus on increasing their product portfolio and continue to transform their sportsbook business in order to meet their growing US player-base. He added that Alex has extensive experience in the financial field, and will provide strong financial leadership for the SG Digital team.
Ambrose will report directly to Executive Vice President and CFO of the operator, Michael Quartieri, and will set up shop within the SG Digital London Office.
Quartieri, in his own statement, has said that they are thrilled to have Ambrose sign on to the SG Digital and global finance team. He explained that with Ambrose’s in-depth experience in finance, as well as in online gaming, he will be able to execute the best practises available to drive their operations and future expansions. The hope is that Ambrose will allow SG Digital to grow their online gaming and sportsbook business ventures within the European market as Scientific Games continues to further their reach. With the many changes taking place within the operator’s management, their market value is expected to soar in coming months.
