Scientific Games has verified that a 10-year agreement has been granted to provide a number of games and retail technology to the Turkish national lottery Milli Piyango, further enhancing its footing in the country’s gaming scene.. The contract has been officially announced, confirming that SG will also provide the partners with its Wave retail technology and support services. The relaunch of the national lottery is expected to take place in 2020 under the control of the Sisal-Sans JV.
Sans Dijital board member Sinan Oklay has stated that the success of gaming entertainment for any market is led by the gaming content, alongside innovative technology and products. He added hat they have chosen Scientific Games to promote their National Lottery operations as they are confident that the supplier will be able to help them attain market growth, which heavily relies on developing engaging content for their consumers, and hope for a substantial instant ticket business.
The new deal also opens up the Turkish market for Scientific Games. Long-term carrier Inteltek, a JV between Intralot and Turkish telecommunications company Turkcel, won the agreement to operate the country’s biggest sports betting monopoly Iddaa as well as Demirören Group. On obtaining the Milli Piyango agreement, Scientific Games Executive Vice President and Group Chief Lottery Officer Pat McHugh said that they are being recognised for their confidence in fulfilling their development goals as the sole provider of all retail terminals, along with online games and other content.
