eGaming software development company Iforium was founded in 2006 and has just been awarded their ISO 27001 Certification. This is the international standard that lays out the specifications for the implementation of information security systems.
It was their world-renowned Gameflex™ platform that underwent the auditing process, which saw all of the programme’s internal operations opened up to accountants and each system being put through a strenuous, nine-month testing period. To pass, a total of 7 clauses and 144 control criteria need to be met, and Gameflex™ passed with flying colours.
The auditors concluded that all of the control methods Iforium has in place and its senior staff members are on a par with the touchstone set out by the International Electrotechnical Commission and the International Organisation for Standardisation. To put it more simply, Iforium has put a sufficiency of methods in place to protect casino data.
A company representative mentioned the achievement in a press release which made it clear that thanks to their newly awarded ISO 27001 Certification, there can no longer be any question over how seriously the firm takes its casino data protection. Their statement affirmed that their Tier One operating partners can all rest assured that they’re in unmistakably safe hands.
The spokesman also stressed that this new certification will allow for its online casino expansions processes to be initiated. For example, the Swiss Federal Gaming Board will not grant operating licenses to operators without ISO 27001 Certification, so Iforium will only now be able to start pursuing this very lucrative market.
