GVC has announced that they will be helping to fund a study that will delve into problem gambling within the US. The study is part of a long-term commitment by the US National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG).
Owners of brands such as PartyPoker, Bwin, and Ladbrokes have recently joined up with casino giant MGM in a $200 million venture into the US gaming scene, and are expected to dominate the US sports betting market within the coming year.
As the company expands its operations within the country, it was now joined up with the NCPG’s President’s Circle, which a part of the NGO’s commitment to act as the national advocate for the services and programmes that will be set in place to assist any problems gamblers and their families may have.
Through membership, GVC has explained that they would support the NCPG, and will help to provide awareness, assistance, and advocacy in order to promote responsible gaming, and to address any problems in the game sector. Kenneth Alexander, CEO of GVC, has told reports that joining the NCPG President’s Circle is part of their commitment to ensure that GVC promotes high stands of responsible gaming so that their customers can enjoy their services in a safer environment.
The NCPG is expected to launch ‘The National Survey of Gambling in America,’ which is being cited as a major study that aims to dissect and analyse the prevalence of gaming within the United States.
