Online operator CashBet has announced that it has expanded its advisory board with the additions of major figures from both the online gaming and cryptocurrency sectors. The addition of the board members was part of a long-term plan that the operator hopes will solidify its position as one of the world’s foremost blockchain-powered online gambling service providers.
Successful crypto entrepreneur Charlie Shrem is one of the figures being appointed to the advisory board. Shrem was one of the pioneers of cryptocurrency, having invested into Bitcoin during its infancy, and has started both the Bitcoin Foundation and the BitInstant Bitcoin Exchange, along with the CryptoIQ Investment news service.
CashBet completed a $38 million coin offering deal earlier in the year, and Shrem will now be leading the team that will advise CashBet and oversee its crypto operations.
CashBet has also added Matteo Monteverdi to the advisory board. Monteverdi is the former senior vice-president of global digital products at IGT, and spent more than two decades working in the international B2B and B2C iGaming industry.
Alongside Monteverdi will be industry veteran Daniel Phillips, former head of operations at Playtech. Phillips has also been part of the industry for the better part of 20 years, and spent some time with Gala Coral.
CashBet has made some changes to its team of executives during the year, and has confirmed the appointments of Tarun Gaur as vice-president of engineering, Kyle Plasecki as Casino manager, and Jeremie Kanter as vice-president of compliance.
