Online gaming content provider and developer Gaming Innovation Group has announced the launch of a new online casino platform in partnership with new Zealand-based SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited. The launch sees GiG supplying all New Zealand customers with a first class online casino experience that they have stated will be based on trust, fun, and entertainment, and will be made available for anyone living within the country.
The announcement follows from a partnership that GiG had inked with SkyCity in May of this year, which also saw them receive a gaming licence while SkyCity has been given access to their online casino solution and platform. The solution includes the technical platform, gaming content, front-end development, CRM, compliant and marketing, and fully managed services. The operator will be managing the online casino site from Malta on behalf of their new partners.
SkyCity is among the most popular entertainment and hospitality groups in the Australasia region, and has casino venues in both New Zealand and Australia. The company is listed in both countries, and has an enterprise value of NZ$3 billion. The new partnership is expected to make a positive impact on GiG’s revenues from 2020 onward, although the operator does not expect a material impact on its current revenues for this financial year. Chief executive officer for GiG, Robin Reed, told reporters that GiG is pursuing a strategy of becoming a global partner for strong brands within the industry in the next few years.
