Aspire Global has recently announced the appointment of Ziv Shtaeinberg to the newly created role of chief technology officer. Shtaeinberg will be leading the platform provider’s IT firm from their head office in Kiev, Ukraine.
The Israeli national has experience in on-premises software and cloud computing and technology development, and previously worked in SafeCharge as a payment processor, and spent some time at Microsoft. Aspire Global chief executive Tsachi Maimon told reporters that Shtaeinberg will be adding his experience and knowledge to the Aspire Global team, and that he wishes Shtaeinberg the best of luck going forward.
The provider has also announced that it will be adding a new chief product officer to replace Galit Shani, who has decide to step down as vice-president of product. Shani spent more than a decade working for the company, but has decided to pursue other interests, leaving his role open.
The appointments come as Aspire Global was informed that its AG Communications Ltd subsidiary may be facing serious sanctions within Sweden. Sweden’s gambling regulator Spelinspektionen has accused the white label service provider of giving people who have signed up for the regulator’s self-exclusion plan the chance to carry on accessing their sites. AG Communications, along with Genesis Global Ltd – an operator providing similar services – are now required to give an adequate explanation for their failure to comply with mandated self-exclusion regulation or face serious punishment in coming months, which may come in the form of heavy fines.
